Natalie Perry, PhD
Natalie Perry began her career teaching high school in urban communities and working in college access/retention programs on the east coast. Those early career experiences informed her desire to study institutional effectiveness through an equity lens. Her doctoral dissertation (“Faculty Perceptions of Diversity at a Highly Selective Research-Intensive University”) examined institutional commitment to diversity from the perspective of organizational values.
Natalie passion for values-driven changed management was nourished when she served as a Massachusetts Women’s Leadership Fellow. As a Fellow at MassDevelopment, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ economic finance agency, she launched key initiatives to stimulate economic growth and strengthen communities across Massachusetts.
As Assistant Professor and Higher Education Administration Concentration Lead at Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Education she led curricular and programmatic transformation of the MEd program.
She incorporated the lessons she learned about transforming organizations into her work as Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Students at Dartmouth College. before going on to lead the Master’s in Public Health Program (MPH) Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
At present, Natalie leads a multiyear change management program, Cultural North Star, at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine. Prior to role Natalie served as Associate Dean for Academic Programs at American International College School of Education’s in Springfield, Massachusetts, In this capacity she led the institution’s program reviews, academic planning, and accreditation.
Natalie earned her Phd from the University of Virginia in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in research, statistics, and evaluation. She earned her Master’s Degree in Urban Education, with a. Concentration in teaching and curriculum from Harvard University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in African American and African Studies with a concentration on people and politics from THE Ohio State University.
Dr. Perry possesses a wealth of experience in understanding and improving organizational culture. Through humility and authentic stakeholder engagement, she guides organizations as they demonstrate their values.
