Allegra Mangione - Catharsis

Allegra is a storyteller, a facilitator, a strategist and a fundraiser whose greatest passion is to help nonprofit organizations develop values-aligned, actionable marketing strategies. In 2020, after a 7-year career working in community-based organizations, Allegra launched Catharsis, a consulting practice focused on marketing strategy for nonprofits.

Within the nonprofit sector, Allegra has worked across four continents in diverse roles including Development and Communications Manager at Focus Points Family Resource Center, Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Tewa, and Assistant Development Manager at Etafeni Day Care Center Trust.

When transitioning into consulting for nonprofits, Allegra made a personal commitment to work inline with her values—bold honesty, empathetic kindness, abundance, anti-racism, and transparency are a few—and encourage the nonprofits she works with to do the same. In doing so, her approach to marketing for nonprofits has become radically different, in line with movements working to shift the power dynamics of the nonprofit sector.

Some of Allegra’s current and past clients include Access Gallery, WorkLife Partnership, GoPhilanthropic Foundation, Denver Housing Authority, and OneSight. Allegra holds a B.A. in Human Services and International Affairs from Northeastern University.
